From millions of seconds given by life
she gathered a full minute of joy
The rest of it are pain.
Her tears are precious
because each waste up a second
from her minute of joy.
She only cries when life is offering
a second of joy to another,
letting her to witness how a life starts
just as another begins to end.
How she steps away
into the time she started a long time ago
Her last tear seeps,
but it stops, ambushed on her lip.
She cannot go away, if hopes
the last door will not open for joy
only for pain.
She doesn’t want to cry because of pain
yet, having joy on her lip,
she stands still in the middle of the road
to watch millions of souls going back home
But not her.
Her petrified figure is passed by past lives
with cups full of joyful tears
If only she’d said yes to joy
instead of running away,
she would’ve walked home with them
Today.
She refuses to give up her last drop of joy, even though this choice will never bring her back home to God. Her regret of choosing, almost always, anything else buy joy in her life has terrified her into stone, reluctant to give away the memory of her last joy, she has made her last choice, to be in pain for eternity, holding joy on her lip.
While his steps are slowing down
Pausing to admire the statue,
For a century looks at her beautiful face
But… he dares to steal her tear
With a kiss
Going home.
